Blink Foresight Card – the intelligent alternative
A hub centred revolution
A Blink Foresight Card entitles you to 50 hours of flight time on Blink’s fleet of jets. Every time you fly, we calculate the total flight hours of your journey and deduct what you have used from your current balance.
The total flight hours calculation is based on the premise that your jet always starts from, and returns to, its designated Blink Hub airport. Here’s how we would work out the total flight hours for all your different journeys.
You depart from a Blink Hub and fly to your destination (Leg A). You disembark and the aircraft returns home (Leg B). We calculate the total flight hours by taking the time for the flight out and adding it to the time for the flight back. Each flight hour is charged at £1,550 (€1,900).
Day Return journeys
Why not spend the day? Fly out as early as you like, and return as late as you like, subject to airport opening hours and crew duty limitations.
You still pay for the time it takes to fly from a Hub to your destination and back again (A+B), but we add a 20% premium to the hourly charge to cover the cost of keeping the Blink jet and your pilots for the entire day. Each flight hour is charged at £1,860 (€2,280).
Simple Overnight journeys
We understand that you are not always able to do everything you have planned in a single day – so we created the “Simple Overnight” to enable you to spend one night away without having to pay for two One-Way journeys.
You still pay for the time it takes to fly from a Hub to your destination and back again (A+B), but we add a 45% premium to the hourly charge to cover the cost of keeping the Blink jet and your pilots away from home for the night. Each flight hour is charged at £2,248 (€2,755).
Long-stay Return journeys
If you plan to stay at your destination for more than two days, you will be charged for two One-Way journeys.
You fly out from a hub to your destination (Leg A) and the aircraft returns home (Leg B). At a later date the Blink jet departs from its hub and flies out to pick you up from your destination (Leg C). Finally, it returns home returns with you onboard (Leg D).
The time taken for each leg of the journey is added together to arrive at your total flight hours. Each flight hour is charged at £1,550 (€1,900).
Journeys not starting or finishing at a Blink Hub
Sometimes a Blink Hub won’t be the most convenient place to start or finish your journey. We are happy to fly you anywhere within our European network, but it does impact the total flight hours calculation.
The simplest example is a One-Way journey between two non-Blink Hub airports. Firstly, we calculate the time it takes for your aircraft to get from the most convenient Blink Hub to your intended point of departure (Leg A), where you climb aboard. Then we measure the time it takes to fly you to your intended destination (Leg B), where you disembark. Then we record the time it takes for the plane to return to the most convenient Blink Hub (Leg C).
We add these three separate flight times to arrive at the total flight hours for your journey. The per hour cost will vary as usual depending on if the trip is a one-way, day return, or simple overnight trip.
Journeys with multiple destinations
Blink makes multiple destination journeys physically possible and financially viable. Whether they take a single day or
involve one or more overnight stops, they can definitely be paid for using your Blink Foresight Card. Complex itineraries
are made up of multiple individual journey types combined in the most cost effective way. If you want to organise a
multi-destination journey, the Blink Flight Services team are on hand to help, 24 hours a day.
What is a Blink Hub?
A Blink Hub is an airport that acts as a home to one or more Blink jets. Currently Blink maintains permanent hubs
at London Blackbushe and Geneva, Switzerland. We plan to open more in the future.
Blink also operates seasonal hubs to cater for increased traffic during periods of high demand. In the summer they
are usually located around the Mediterranean. In 2011 they were located at Cannes/Nice in the South of France To discover where we fly, have a look at our airport locator.
By increasing the number of Hubs we make it more likely that there will be a Blink jet closer to where you are and
where you want to go – this results in cheaper fares as the total flight hours for each journey are reduced.
